Tend to agree with you there. Makes you wonder about the Jetstar strategy doesn't it? I think I have seen fares for as little as $30 one way to MEL. They are now running the 787 Dreamliner to asia and you can get return fares (on the latest, most advanced aeroplane in the world) for as little as $250! I personally would have put the 787 on Qantas and demanded high yield airfares from it, the punters are happy to pay, as long as they get the product. Perhaps could have been a very successful revenue raiser for QF Int'l. Look at QF business class, 90%+ full on most flights from my experience.
