Just a theory of course, but its all about manufacturing sentiment.
Knock down the sp to try and get management to wave the white flag , in the hopes of them accepting some BS low ball offer. Working on behalf of a potential acquirer of course (who is accumulating all the while).
The fact is , if it is the case, it won't work. None of the major shareholders have been selling (so they say),so they're not buying into this artificially low , fabricated sp and market cap.
Any low ball offers won't see the light of day. Maybe $1.80 would be enough for them to announce an non-binding offer to the market , but only to put the breaks on the falling sp.
