I can answer that one now
Firstly, the oil is at depth, so it already has enough residual heat of to be pumped to the surface at which point it will be blended on site with additives then stored on site. The storage containers will serve dual purposes. The primary function is obviously to hold bulk quantities and secondly, they will act as a decanter allow any water that has inadvertently entered into the vessel to be easily disposed of. The flow rate will be dependent on the temperature of the crude.
