On the contrary I think this is a little disappointing at first blush. eps of 5.3 cps, I was looking for about 6.0 - 6.5 after the update in November.
And where are the notes to the accounts? They left them out.
Zman, the company's profit forecast is 30% growth in profit BEFORE tax. Eps is calculated after tax.
PBT was $6.061m in FY07. A 30% increase would give $7.88m for FY08. Taxed at 30% would give NPAT of $5.516m. (last year they had a much more favourable tax rate of 18%). Weighted average shares are slightly higher this year at 46.5m. Gives eps of 11.86 cps. or just 6% eps growth.
Of course they could do much better than 30% profit before tax growth but they are facing a higher tax rate so basically 30% profit before tax growth does not translate into 30% eps growth
Either way, Danlupi's forecast of 26 cps for the full year is looking even more ridiculous, he's proabably having a heart attack right now.
