    Abel quote refers to the symbolism of a spirit crying for justice soon after the body has been killed. It's basically saying that God cannot be deceived when you sin. Nothing to do with the immortality of the spirit.

    You are unable to discern the difference between the verses of the Bible that speak of the condition of the spirit after bodily death and the condition of the spirit when a Manifestation of God calls out to all creation "I am the Resurrection and the Life"

    There's an important distinction between the two and you are confused between which verses refer to physical death and which refer to spiritual death.
