I would suggest the body and soul are part and parcel, as in the soul is not separate.
The breath of life (spirit) went into the formed body and man became a living soul, came alive. On that bases if I have it correct, which the Bible suggests, then the soul is a living reality. ------------ From what I read on the net, supposedly what your faith believes, which you may or may not confirm. Our after life is in fact like you believe John the Baptist was Elijah, but not really him, hence us in a similar way.
Or like I think your claim is, your prophet is sort of Jesus lol.
If that be the case, or something like it, it appears a Big stretch come creation lol.
