A poor excuse. If it was true that all those who are obedient to God have their prayers answered, we would have evidence for the efficacy of obedience and prayer.
No such pattern shows up. Those who claim to have been blessed by God are in their fortunate position for host of reasons that have nothing to do with a belief in God. Some may be Muslims, Buddhists, Jews or Atheists.
