Everything in life changes, evolves, even mountains crumble, so it's impossible for religion not to be part of this process if indeed religion is a living social composition. Even if scripture is divine it must still be bound to an age, a need, a culture and a capacity.
We are nothing like the people that Christ moved amongst. I imagine a Christian today meeting the real Christ would never recognise His divinity, they would be horrified by His presence. Every age must have a new world order because the only certainty is change, like it or not and this must include religion otherwise religion is a dead anachronism.
So, new world order, good, sign of life. Religion unchanging fixed to a status quo, bad, it means the religion is dead and useless.
