Technically, old growth forests are renewable. It is just that it takes five hundred years for them to grow back, after you burn them.
Hopefully, the Senate will do it's job and make the necessary amendments to get the RET across the line.
In other words the Coalition is being crafty by throwing this in at the last moment. Expect them to use it as a bargaining chip to get one of the independents to vote with them on some other matter. Perhaps that senator may be from Tasmania!!!
