You have mis understood. I did not say pubs and clubs dont have regulations, Moreso that they dont have anywhere near the level of what casinos are required.
- Do you have mandatory betting times?
- Do you have mandatory break times?
- Do you have pokies visible to any patrons below age of 18?
- Do you have Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations?
- Does your Smoking Areas comply with free air regulations?
- Do you have money laundering protocols managed by a dedicated money laundering team?
- Do you have cashless gaming? if So what technology are you using?
That is only a handful of items i have plucked out of the air.
I am glad you brought ALH up because I know for an absolute fact you dont have anywhere near the regulations to what Casinos operate, ALH certainly do have regulation, but it is nowhere near what casinos have. Casinos operate to a specific Casino Act, Clubs and Pubs dont. Casino issues were far deeper than just Junket Operators. You should read the enquiry.
The point is if Pubs and Clubs end up with similar regulations as per the Casino Act, it's going to cost ALOT of Money. That is the current risk and likely why the SP has been pummelled. They havent even started scratching to surface of pubs and clubs yet.
