Currently, if zip loans $100 and charges the merchant $7 for the service, (related costs aside) that's a 7% return on that purchase. That $100 will likely be repaid in weeks
They might lend that same $100 6-12 times over a year, equating to a gross return of 42% - 84% return P/a.
