well even if they are quiet in financial terms, they will still have all the tyre kickers and timewaster going to the stores and they all have to be served and looked after.
as you can't actually tell which ones are actually there to spend.
so they have staff for this busy period of the year.
in ref to the GST TAX issue, only 3% of total sales in retail land are being lost to on line shopping.
hardly the cause of the problem
and even is there was the implementation of the tax, it would still mean dinosaurs like HVN will suffer.
they are used to being able to take a cut at every opportunity, whether it be from suppliers or the franchisees or the customers. now to be competitive they will need to be less greedy.
