Hi T10,
I'm p/off about this. Fortunately, my retirement money is secure as I managed it myself, in other words my Super account these days has more cash than share investments.
The govt encouraged people to put their money into super last financial year as you would recall. Imagine how much worse off the Aust. share market would be without those extra super instalments. So many people were hoping to pay off their mortgages once they retire. Will they also have to be selling their homes or reverse mortgage to survive so that their kids will be left with no inheritance to help them along? That's just one scenario.
I have always been opposed to CFDS.
But realistically, what is fair in business these days? My layman/woman vision sees this in future: the average traders like us non existant. It will only be big corporations having the monopoly over the world with only very wealthy people affording shares.
