Frantic I hear what you are saying.....I've just retired myself recently and spent my time pottering around. I did the old play golf escape, only realising I'm crap at it and all I get is frustration !! I have returned to my old job and if I work 3 days ....I'm on way more money than I was working full time. I also have the benefit of a fully indexed super pension. What we need is a 'Grey Power think tank' to target areas in the economy & the community where aged involvement will be encouraged, appreciated & welcomed. It doesn't have to be paid work....but what we also need to realise is that the GFC1 (and maybe GFC 2 looming) have drained the life savings of many so paid or subsidised work should also be an option. Tax breaks, incentive grants and free re-training should be considered sooner rather than later. Good luck mate...as they say tomorrow is another day !!!!
