Not knowing anything of your situation, except that you are prone to worrying a bit (that's my wife's job here), the only suggestion I can make is whether you've considered a part time job? That would give you extra peace of mind as well as some income. The other thing I will do as soon as I reach the right age is get all the assets out of super, to make it more difficult for them to be grabbed. Super funds are a prime target, as you say.
