renes, it appears you are forgettful of the fact that the director is in charge of the company and you are not. The director is the leading figure for an indication of confidence. If a director buys, the market realises that the director has the incentive for the share price to rise. If a director sells, the market realises that the director doesn't have much fuel left in the tank for upwards share price movement. He has made a smart move by selling before a substantial retrace, and no-one can blame him for it, but would you not agree that it doesn't lead towards a dampened sentiment in the stock once the man in charge takes away half of his holding?
