If MRQ are deciding to take legal action against
@2ic that is concern too me as I didn't think there was too much in his posts that couldn't be resolved with further drilling results. In terms of his comments on share registry, personally when I look at potential I also make a call of what options I think will be in the money and count them in as part of my view on shares on issue as well - it is how I think the market would think because it would be perverse to not assume they are in if you think the SP will be above the option price.
1. In terms of his comments around not all the deposit will be mined - I actually agreed with him, because you don't mine 20km2 - refer Post #:
42456715 You mine you best pits. In terms of his their villages comments, ultimately with so much territory, ultimately you mine your best socially responsible area, assuming feasibility proved and MRQ have quite a few steps before knowing that btw, so wasn't sure what all the fuss was about to start with.
2. Where 2ic could have toned himself down for me was simply he was focusing on the drills received to date and not the whole picture - Post #:
42516544. This is a speck stock, and personally I think MRQ's best prospect is Linhaune btw, but surprise could be on the upside as some of the initial drilling has been very good - Post #:
42470825 Whilst, the current results in the current area are encouraging and lets see what Batch 3 and 4 do, ultimately 4% - 6% THM is ok Post #:
42506268 and Post #:
42526512 (depending on what is the actual composition of the THM). I personally don't think even that was in dispute - what was in dispute with 2ic was whether 4% - 6% THM was medium grade or high grade THM depsoits, which too me was semantics because at the end of the day if mining feasibility is proven it will be mined, if not it won't. the higher the grade the better, but the point been is you mine your highest grade areas in any event and MRQ are at the start of the journey.
3. I agree Thunderbird is a good resource, but relating to the two points above how many drill areas did SFX drill before finding the sweet deposit - Post #:
42527475 You can't make judgements on 20 drills, and on top of that you can't mine everything. When you think about a mine it covers a lot less territory than your total resource area
I will be stunned if MRQ were to take 2ic to court btw. Compared to other posters on HC who are considered 'downrampers', at least 2ic did provide a research basis and his posts did lead me to do a lot more research - his underlying view on 20 drills was problematic for me and it was
obvious too me his investment outlook (and how quickly he likes his returns) is a lot shorter than mine. He actually said so in a number of his posts, hence why he kept just looking at those 20 drills and IMO assumed a bit of 'homogenous' deposit assessment in his analysis of what Batch 3 and 4 would deliver - which btw I didn't agree with either but good to have different perspectives - Post #:
42518854Anyway, some selective posts above, but as I said unless you can find a motive - and I doubt 2ics posts will decide the fate of MRQ or otherwise as if the deposit is economic it will be mined, full stop - I found his posts interesting at best, and aided my own research. Ultimately as I also said on here 1 in 100 exploration plays ever make it to mining and free carry strategies are preferred by me in teh speck market(but it is up to posters how they minimise risk or not, but when SP moves downwards then scapegoats IMO should no be targeted). Post #:
42169842Also, my take on SP reduction is what you see typically in many speck stocks - lots of initial euphoria, SP rises, the thrill disappears for day traders and short termers who move onto the next best thing and the remaining long termers start thinking about what makes the mine feasible. Typically you also have some trapped holders who bought high - in the initial euphoria - and are unwilling to sell.
Like 2ic I like writing novels as well btw on stocks I hold or do not hold. Getting different perspectives I think is good and I also post on stocks I hold and don't hold (albeit not to the extent of 2ic on any one stock as a non-holder). There are ample stocks in the speck end of the market where downrampers were right - i.e. look at WFE for example - so rather than belittle them personally IMO debate them and make your investment decisions on your own research. People shouldn't be investing in the share market if their investment decisions are based on a HC poster, and not their own research which might be simply validating the research of someone else who posted on HC, but ultimately your decision, so DYOR.
Back on topic - looking forward to the Batch 3 and 4 results.
