I'm always fascinated when Australians go on about the French and running away
But, Aussies celebrate ANZAC day
which ended with the Evacuation - sneaking off quietly so the Ottomans didn't wise up to the retreat.
And the British - Evacuation of Dunkirk - yes, a wonderful example of British people - but, make no mistake - they were running away - getting out of there - because the British needed their army and they were stuck and going to be wiped out - driven into the sea by Germany
for any who need an education on the French - visit Verdun ------- and maybe the Morvan as well - without the latter - D day wouldn't have gone well at all.
