Yes i have FancyPants & great video but you've probably hit one of the key aspects in your post. There's many drugs that have done one thing in mouse-models yet failed to replicate the same outcome in human. Glatiramer or more commonly Copaxone for multiple sclerosis was along similar lines & a fascinating story it was "accidently" discovered by Israeli scientists in the late 1960's Glatiramer stopped mice from getting MS &cured it in those that already had it - alot of excitement but it failed to replicate the same outcome in humans although it was then after many years of further research supplied as Copaxone to MS patients where it didn't "reverse or cure" the disease it did slow the rate of relapses by ~30%.
Anyway maybe it went a bit of topic but i was trying to provide an example on mice VS humans & how one outcome doesn't neccesarily mean the other.
