Something less controversial from me.
According to clinicaltrials.gov, it looks as though the rett trial will proceed at a second site: University of Alabama. They're not recruiting just yet.
This was mentioned at the AGM so isn't "news" but it's pleasing to see a promise kept.
It also means that a good rate of progress in the trial will be maintained. The average rate of patient testing is one a week. We should have about 16 patients through the trial so far (which is- let's be fair- ammunition to the cautious). The trial is looking at 60 patients in total so it's potentially the difference between 40 and 20 weeks to finish up. So having a second site will expedite the trial in a big way.
Maybe they'll start a facebook page.
