From my limited reading, I don't think they know enough about MECP2 to determine the FULL impact of NNZ-2566/2591. MECP2 gene regulates at least 2500 other genes including silencing some genes and activating others and also influences the way DNA packs into a cell.
One presentation by Siefring had the following:
MECP2 regulates transcription of
Brain-derived growth factor
Axonal maturation
Neuronal development
I don't think there is any doubt that NNZ-2566 impacts neuronal development. I am unfamiliar with the others.
