Shouldn't they look at doing a return of capital of 5c per share.

A positive management would look at that, win-win, pretty sure $5m in kitty is still fair sum to work with.

Can not see the benefit of attending North American Conferences at shareholders expense, especially with a share price sitting where it currently is, just give us some money back instead, I would like to travel overseas sometime soon as well (economy class would be enough).
