    Yes it is and many would agree that taking disposable nappies off the shelves would be an excellent move for the environment. Perhaps it will be the next thing targeted.

    Everybody is surely aware by now that plastic (which does not occur naturally) has been detected almost everywhere on Earth? Including in the tissue of the animals that we eat? The effects of bioaccumulated plastic on our health has not been studied - in fact it is probably impossible to study now because there are now no "uncontaminated" humans to use as a control in such a study.

    Plastic is an incredibly useful substance but it is undeniable that the human race has been wanton in its use and disposal of it.
