The human race has an urgent need to take many new products and use them for everything in their lives, many applications are totally impractical and in the case of plastic it continue to cause damage into the future
Plastic is a fantastic product but is only a benefit when we evaluate it's other disadvantages against its good points
Manufacturers should have a burden placed on them as they are responsible for it's production, therefore they should shoulder some of the blame and cost, as well as producing a viable method to dispose of what they produce
Similar problems exist with the frantic race to build solar farms which have a life span of about 30 years and they have a far greater disposal problem than nuclear waste.
In our haste to develop, expand and have more "toys" to make our lives easier we do tend to act before we think and in doing so create far too many problems in the future
