I watch the fishmonger putting fish out into trays in the window. No food gloves. I ask at the butcher whether that's OK. Shrugged. It gets cooked he said. That doesn't convince me. Trouble is we eat food prepared by others.
I once had a job in Melbourne Uni in a residential college. I sometimes ate the lunch provided but not always which was fortuitous for me as sometimes the residents were very sick overnight. Went on for weeks. I luckily avoided those vomiting evenings. Of course it may have been the evening meal which we office workers never had. Finally traced to one of the chefs who never washed his hands after using the toilet. Very furious sufferers. He was immediately sacked.
