Sydney - Wednesday - September 24: (RWE Aust Business News) -
Significant tungsten assays continue to be returned from the evaluation
drilling program at the Big Hill deposit, Cookes Creek.
Hazelwood (ASX:HAZ) said the extent of scheelite mineralisation
continues to exceed expectations.
The initial resource drilling program is expected to be concluded
within the next two weeks.
Results include 73m at 0.11 per cent tungsten from 30-103m with
15m at 0.25pc from 88-103m, 12m at 0.32pc from 28-40m, 28m at 0.28pc from
59-87m, 20m at 0.20pc from 0-20m, 51m at 0.17pc from 0 -51m with 23m at
0.20pc from 28-51m, 20m at 0.17pc from 32-52m with 8m at 0.29pc from
44-52m, 11m at 0.35pc from 56-67m.
Exceptional apparent widths of scheelite mineralisation are
indicated in the near surface parts of the deposit, which offers
potential for a low cost, low stripping ratio operation.
Two diamond core drilling rigs are currently drilling to test the
down dip parts of the deposit and visual observation of the core confirms
coarse scheelite mineralisation at depth.
