Hey! Don't knock snobbery. If it wasn't for those superficial pretentious people who for some strange reason believe they have some talent that others do not posess, there would be virtually no patronage for many of the querky, dated, tedious and downright dull arts that exist (and charge abhorrent prices) purely for the snobs to hobnob at. I don't know if you've been to any of the ballets, choirs or Operas at the Opera House lately, but they are so slow it is a struggle to stay awake. Cirque du Soleil made a strong case for the return of animal violence in Circuses, if they committed to letting them eat the clowns.

Let the snobs patronise these events. I don't want them getting in my way when I'm at the footy. And I'd much rather see the live energy at any of the significantly more entertaining shows that are put on by Uni arts groups then the expensive annual rehash of a 400 year old opera.

(Just dont tell the snobs we dont care).
