Sigh sorry. I am going to sound like an arrogant piece of crap but my intelligence level is high. Always has been. I am not wrong. My facts are right and The FACT is. A single cash flow statement does not tell you what is happening to revenue.
If it is steady? How do you know it is steady. How do you know that creditors are paying faster or slower. You simply do not know the make up of everything that is occurring hence the cash flow statement is just that a statement of cash flowing in and cash flowing out. Basic accounting concepts tell us that cash flowing in and out is not revenue otherwise if I took out a loan from a bank my profit would go up.
It is also the same reason why an annual report has both a statement of cash flows and a profit and loss statement. Why have both if I can tell revenue from a cashflow.
