Where in any reports that might have read does hedge funds come into the picture?

No, it is just the demand side of Zn that is coming off. Zn conmsumers are not prepared to pay higher and higher prices so they basically stop buying for the time being.

What happens when buying stops or halts dramatically....prices fall...!!!!

Zn market is in backwardation right now, thus spot/cash prices will need to back off somewhat so the market can re-balance.

I expect with 5-7 days that demand side will resume and that this will see the prices of Zn resume upward.

By late Dec expect Zn to be at least 7-8% higher than they are right at this point, heading back towards the all-time highs.

If stockpiles fall below 50K and Cu is not falling out of the sky expect Zn to possibly trade at $US2.25/lb maybe god forebid $US2.71/lb !!!
