This is certainly a bold statement to make, I wish I had your confidence but after spending a few afternoons reading up some petroleum engineering books in the library, I realised the subject field was far more complex than I initially thought - without appropriate tertiary qualifications I didn't have a clue how to assess the risks involved in their operations, the magnitude of the risks etc.

One thing i'm curious about, the oil price is booming, the petroleum industry is massive (value 100billion+ per annum?) so one would think there are plenty of highly talented, experienced guys in this sector with both the financial and technical skills to evaluate these type of opportunities. If this was such a "no brainer" and was already worth multiples of the share price, why aren't they all over it? There are plenty of "junior oil" specialist fund managers, with engineering and MBA degrees. Maybe we should takeover their jobs because after all their training and experience they still don't know jack?

maybe there's good reason to be sceptic of these $1+ valuations
