Renesas bought Brainchip's IP but decided to make and sell the MCU with their own AI IP instead, most probably they know at this moment nobody else has a AI MCU better then theirs, so it make sense for them to put Brainchip's IP on hold and only promote their own IP. Thing will change when new SoC with Brainchip's IP emerges, Frontgrade is making the SoC with Brainchip's IP and they are owned by Veritas Capital that specialized in buying potential technology company to grow them and make them profitable. Currently Veritas Capital has 45 companies in their portfolio, I think once FG SoC with Brainchip inside is ready and released to the market it will trigger the rush for the best IP, hopefully Akida is still the best when that happens.
