Just a little bit of perspective for the longs amongst us who aren't down at the chemist buying KY jelly.

When gold was on its way up it closed in NY on 14Feb2014 for US$1319 up from the US$1302 the day before. NCM closed the same day 14Feb2014 at $11.05.

Then 5 days later on 19Feb2014 gold closed in NY at US$1310. NCM closed at $11.15.

Gold has retreated at a bit of a gallop, against my expectation. The trend ain't looking like my friend at the moment.

I think the sidelines is where I want to be for the moment, until support for gold is re-established.
