what's more, if you believe what is written in the papers, the Russian's hold US$165 billion in US T-bonds which effectively under-write and bolster US government debt. The US have Russia between a rock and a hard place. All good until Putin starts feeling the squeeze from hardliners on one side and the budding oligarchs and reformers on the other side.
That's why the US has had to pussy foot around, but Europe is more pragmatic. I think the German's will come very reluctantly to the Ukrainian party.
Still all very tentatively balanced in my opinion, gold bears will soon have to go back to their caves. NCM still a good bet, but is it a good investment?
