An interesting comment by mistyrains, but not all that accurate. Arabs are like any other tourists and the biggest tourist attractions in Thailand are the temples. Lots of Arabs come to Thailand for medical reasons, the private hospitals are full of Arab patients. I have personally seen Arabs at buddhist temples in Thailand, I can probably even find comment from Arabs about visits to temples on tourist web sites.
And yes, I can see Arabs being rude to the local buddhists but not Thai muslims -- it is unheard of.
I am not referring to the political troubles in the south of Thailand
