Another signpost is when a stock starts catching the "buzz" from analyst pundits on the media who tend to be a day late and a dollar short on any rally but still signal continuing strength. BPT's cropped up more than a few times this week on the "Your Money" channel that I have on in the background.
Given that so many producers (Russians, US shalers, Saudis) need oil higher to avoid ruin, I'm not phased by any dips in the price. That only spurs the Saudis to further restrict supply and the shalers to shut down wells. The Baker Hughes rig count tumbled...
