REVIEW AND RESULTS OF OPERATIONS
Chemeq Limited (“Chemeq” or the “Company”) is involved in the research, development and
commercialisation of pharmaceuticals. The Company is currently in the process of
commercialising and manufacturing products developed and patented by Chemeq.
The highlights for the half year ended 31 December 2004 were:

Net loss of $14.3 million

Completion of a strategic cost review to reduce future operating costs

Completion of construction at the Rockingham manufacturing plant

Commenced manufacturing of CHEMEQ® polymeric antimicrobial

Conditional regulatory approval from the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary
Medicines Authority for the Rockingham manufacturing plant

Regulatory approval for CHEMEQ® polymeric antimicrobial in South Africa

Signing of distribution agreements with experienced groups in New Zealand,
South Africa and Malaysia
