    Alright so I thought I'd give you some perspective about how big 4000 acres is..
    using http://www.worldlandtrust.org/education/area-converter ,
    4000 acres is the equivalent of 16187440 square metres. Even so according to the site, it would be the equivalent of approximately 4000 soccer pitches... That sounds like a gigantic area to cover AND if you haven't forgotten, the oil is IN the ground.
