A few things
1) If the client company is only using the chip component or whatever , it’s not really an OEM, That is simply a supply of chips by Realtek/NUH. That is not an OEM. If that is the case, then they could have announced that ages ago.
2) If the OEM is for the retail non OTC ex USA market, you will need much more than 50K units. You will need far more than that for a global market with a name brand.
3) The 4 mln was spent co-developing hearing and potentially other chips for broader applications with RealTek. Leroy has already articulated, the applications extend far beyond hearing aids.
4) If there was no path way to revenue, the plug would have been pulled long ago. There are 3 aspects to the business, 2 of which will dwarf NUh selling buds to retail directly.
