Surely trickstar you can see that your deflection is almost as good as Julie's! How about you answer the question in regards to cash available for the production of HP pros?
Let's clarify the story so far.
Justin claimed that HP Pro would be available pre xmas. They werent.
Then it was claimed that they would be ready Q1. On a technicality it is correct.
Customer service guy gave the information that they would be shipped end of march early april. Julie had a fit. The story ended up with the customer service guy was correct.
Nuh claimed that mass production and shipment would happen at end of Feb. What they didn't clarify was the definition of mass production and where shipping would occur from. Turns out Shipment was from Malaysia and not to customers.
As for Mass Production, it could have meant anything from 2 or more. Clearly it wasn't what the market was expecting ie thousands to match the 3000 POS. Turns out Mass Production from the initial run was somewhere in the hundreds at most. Meaning that HP pros were not available in the best buys and other distributors before end of march.
Clearly by the quarterly numbers Nuheara did not have the finances to mass produce. at most they had 1.2 million. But realistically it would have been a lot less. I'm going to estimate at most they had the money to produce 1000-1500 units. Which logically means they couldn't supply to all the POS and distributors that they had announced.
They now have 3 million extra cash (and maybe RD rebate but I have no idea where that is at) Half of which goes into running the company the other half could be used to produce HP pro. What's that produce about 5000 units? The profit of which isn't enough to grow the company. They need a further injection of funds. Hence the realtek IP deal will now be critical.
The point of whether they are available or not now becomes mute because weve reached the date that customer service guy said they would be available. Julie was wrong. Customer Servie Guy was right.
Let's watch and see what happens. If reviews increase sales will be increasing. If they can match what Crutchfield is doing on a proper "mass" scale then revenues will increase. The question is how much inventory do they have and can they produce.... Exciting times ahead, maybe... WIthout a realtek injection of funds this is still 6-12 months away from being profitable.
