The main issue concerning development of LD is that reward didn't take into account what the site means to the martu people and that they were disrespectful... The martu people wanted certainty over the long term that would go on to help the community, not just for the short term (bulk payments)... They wanted jobs and a helping hand in the project...

Lets hope reward has learnt from the past mistakes and includes the martu people on every aspect of their plans to develop LD, and if this is addressed, i think there could be a deal come through...
