A close family member previously worked at BSL, first job out of school.

In August 2008, employees were encouraged to purchase shares in BSL with BSL "contributing" / giving the employee free additional shares.

My family member purchase 53 shares out of his modest pay and BSL contributed 106 shares, giving him 159 shares in total.

    The issue price was $9.28

There was a restricton stating that the shares could not be sold till September 2011.

As we enter June 2012, the share price is 32 cents.

    What a disgrace.

In terms of worst performing "bluechip" companies on the ASX, Bluescope (BSL), Hastie (HST) and Elders (ELD) must be competing for the title.

My vote is for BSL. HST may be in administration but how much taxpayer funded assstance did HST or ELD recieve compared to BSL?

Now with the tax dispute hanging over Bluescopes head, who would want to touch it, what catalyst is there for the share price to rebound?

How did management allow the situation to get so bad!
