I would have thought $30 million is nowhere near enough to get mainline operations going. I recall Compass mark 2 had about $60 million and were running out of money from the get go.
Not that long ago, Rex was cancelling flights due to a lack of pilots. I would presume that they expect to pick up pilots made redundant by the downsizing of Virgin, Qantas and international airlines. Alliance is expanding by 25 planes and I reckon pilots would prefer to be with them.
