I note with surprise the media article today suggesting that Rex has backers to fund the operation of 10 narrow body jets to fly between capital cities from early next year.

Hopefully AQZ has no involvement with this proposal or anything similar. Despite QAN being wounded and Virgin MkII having more immediate priorities once it is back flying, they are not going to stand by and let a new airline get established on their patch.
AQZ needs to retain its focus on playing in niche parts of the bigger market where it has a natural advantage and risks can be managed.
