I'm not sure Dutton would want to go down that path. He's previously expressed the view that Lebanese Muslims should not have been allowed into Australia, that preferential treatment should be given to white South Africans seeking asylum, that Melbourne is unsafe because of Sudanese gangs and boycotted the apology to Aborigines. Leaving aside the issue of political discourse being robust in a democracy how confident would he be that a judge wouldn't uphold a defence of truth to the claim that he's racist?
