I've met a countless number of people in my life that have done things for decades but still lack a deep understanding of what they're doing, so I'm not sure that's a great argument. You said "This one off, black swan event that has just occurred puts all TA out the window IMHO.", but then put a chart up and make a comment about it working back into the long term channel. Isn't that observation part of TA? Also, as you're aware TA can be used on whichever timeframe you choose, and there's more to TA than just trends, so you're saying applying TA to intraday timeframes can't be done for RFF?
