The first auditor will quite likely defend itself. So the second independent auditor (paid at shareholders expense, btw) is to allay any fears that PWC might have done a sloppy job. Bonitas actually alleged they were in cahoots in fraud. It's quite normal practice if audited accounts are questioned.
