This is a media beat up. Target virtually ANY company and you will uncover what the people looking to be offended call unethical behaviour. Just takes a spin doctor. With over 2,500 franchisees, RFG was bound to be a fertile hunting ground.

You cant go against the market, ainsleym, its true. But buying when others are fearful is classic. If your horizon is far enough away, the investment will reward. No-one now boycotts 7-11 for the bad publicity they had over wages irregularities. Ppl have piled back into BHP after the "unconscionable" management choices at SAMARCO. Ppl still bank with CBA. The list goes on.

In a 24 hour news cycle, all news has a short life. The only real question an investor needs to answer is whether the business is a good business overall, not what spin tomorrow's chip paper delivers. Newspapers, after all, pander to the public's insatiable desire for sensationalism. Don't want facts getting in the way of a good story!
