So different to Myer who looks like having a rough Christmas..more like Dominos ..and the new one Oliver’s which is an organic franchise ....
I think when people want it handed to them on a plate they consider buying franchise ...but it’s not the same as running a laundromat anymore .
back in the old days the standardised experience was welcome ...Dome Cafes performed mightily . Now people want a more ‘bespoke ‘ experience in food and coffee at least and it’s about the character of the vendor and personality of the venue .
The reason I dont go into Gloria Jeans is it feels like getting into an old bus or train . Having walked into one once and had a boring unappetising platicated experience I judged all the other outlets the same ...plenty of other choices.
Awful for everyone really
