I got the impression from the trading update that RFG we’re blaming the media coverage for some of their ‘newly arisen’ woes. Given the media has only been on the stands for the last 2 weeks it seems a long stretch.... maybe going forward yes, it will be a bit harder to find new franchisees with this story out (and one reason not to buy RFG even if they look cheap)
The Fairfax journos would have had a bit of relief they got their dissection out before the big ‘shock’ downgrade.
And one wonders if the RFG management have some egg on their chin to refute the Fairfax claims one week then put out a major downgrade the next.
