Rectifiers (or converting AC to DC) has been around since the 1900s since the AC v DC battle was won.

it has gone through many technology changes from diodes to vibrating motors to crystals etc, and there are many companies and university researchers working on it.

Everyone on this board has multiplier rectifiers in their house - the best example being a USB plug charger which is a mini rectifier producing 5V DC from a 240V AC source.

RFT presently has somewhat of a lead in higher powered rectifiers (both for EVs and high powered computers as noted above) but they are no means the only company. The market couldn't care about a contract signed in 2013, a company is valued on what they do in 2020, 2021 and beyond
RFT however provides no guidance nor any quantification on the patents or methods they hold or use.

And they do face challenges on the EV charging front
eg. This thread on a Tesla board about research into semiconductors that will convert high voltage AC (ie. Grid transmission) direct to 50kW DC - no transformer or rectifier needed.
